Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park. A UNESCO World Heritage site and recently proclaimed the 7th wonder of the world, Serengeti is famed for its annual migration where some six million hooves pound the open plains. After the game drive, we will be transferred to the lodge for dinner and overnight, at Serengeti Serena Lodge.
Day 2 Central Serengeti
Spend a full days in Serengeti National Park mostly exploring the wildlife. Serengeti National Park’s resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high in the Wagakuria area, with a pride of lions up to 30 strong, however, from July to October the area turns into a wildlife paradise. The key feature is the Mara River, and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later. Please note that finding a crossing is very difficult and sometimes a matter of luck.
We will later continue to Serengeti Serena Lodge and campsite for dinner and overnight,
Day 3 Serengeti Central – Drive to Arusha or take a flight at Seronera Airstrip to Arusha/Zanzibar/Dar es Salaam Airport
After an early breakfast, check out of the lodge with a packed picnic lunch and depart for a last game viewing on your way out of Serengeti. In the late afternoon drive to Arusha for your onward flight.
Alternatively, continue to your booked hotel for an overnight stay at Arusha.
End of tour.
